STATEMENT KNIT

H&M have done it again with another amazing, on-trend statement piece, in the form of this gorgeous detailed knit. I love the unusual details on this piece, from the ruffles flowing down the front, to the exaggerated bell-sleeves... It's all going on here but still manages to remain totally wearable!

A statement knit like this is the perfect throw on piece to keep you cosy in the cooler temps, but still looking super put-together and on-trend.

I always find Autumn is the best season for fashion - you can start to experiment with various layers and contrasting textures - Autumn outfits are just that bit more interesting! What's more, the intricate sleeve detailing on this knit doesn't just look pretty, it's also super practical for keeping your hands nice and snug on a chilly day, and would look beaut layered with a jacket and peeping out from under the cuff!

I chose to pair the knit with this sleek navy maxi skirt, also from H&M. Whilst the skirt is pretty formal, I've found it so easy to wear and such a useful addition to my wardrobe since buying it at the end of Summer. It's become a real daily staple that I know will carry me through the Winter months with a pair of cosy tights underneath!

The knit is super versatile however, and would look equally lovely dressed down with denim, such as a cute pair of kick-flare jeans or even a denim skirt, tights and ankle boots.

I finished off the look with a pair of statement gold earrings, because why stop at one statement?! I love experimenting with all forms of gold hoops, and have a few pairs on daily rotation. They add a real put-together finish to an outfit, and are also perfect for taking your look from day to night.
