PEACHYKEEN

Peach-tone blushes are a firm fave. As a pale-skinned gal a peachy glow is the perfect alternative to going all-out-bronze, and a great way to add a super flattering hint of warmth to the face, but there is definitely a peachy shade out there for everyone. I have put together a selection of some well-loved favourites (please excuse the well-loved packaging!!)

The Rose Gold Peach

This powder blush from Chanel in the shade Reflex is a real luxury product, and it shows in the finish. This blush has a beautiful, multi-dimensional effect on the skin with a subtle gold shimmer running throughout. This is the perfect final touch to a make-up look and creates a really put-together finish. The shimmer is luxe and glowy with not a fleck of glitter in sight! This is one of my all time favourites and although I use it all the time there is barely a dent in the pan - a worthwhile investment as a little goes a long way.

The Coral Peach
Benefit's Coralista is a coral-toned shimmery blush which has stood the test of time in my makeup collection - I always come back to this one for a flattering pinky-peach shimmer that glows on the cheeks and looks radiant in photos. All of the Benefit box blushes I've tried have impressed, they smell amazing and last forever.

The Orange Peach
I picked this Sephora blush up when on holiday in France as I found my holiday makeup bag was just not keeping up with my tan! This is a vibrant orange hue which works perfectly to compliment a holiday glow. It has a shimmery finish and the bright shade adds a healthy colour pop which lifts the complexion and looks really flattering on bronzed skin. My shade 'Neon Orange' seems to have been discontinued, but Sephora have a great range of colours and finishes, perfect for when you want a quick and easy update to switch up your current routine.

The Matte Peaches
These matte shades are two of the most wearable in my blush collection. The MAC one is 'Peaches' a Sheertone blush, which means the finish is super lightweight and subtle - a hard one to overdo! As the names suggests, the shade itself is one of the truest peach shades that MAC offer, and the closest I had come to finding a true peach shade, until I found this next matte blush from & Other Stories.

I could spend hours in the & Other Stories beauty section, it has the most beautiful aesthetic. This blush in 'Organza Coral' is a slightly more orange-toned peach, still very soft and muted but with less pink. It also comes out a lot more pigmented and powdery than the weightless formula of the sheertone blush, slightly less natural than Peaches but still really wearable due to the subtle shade and matte finish.

The Cream Peach
A great one for the Summer months, this Multiple stick from Nars is perfect for a swiping on a healthy glow. Although low maintenance in application (it can be swiped onto the face and blended with fingers) and perfect for travel (no brushes required!) I do often find cream products to be a lot higher maintenance than their powder counterparts. Cream products simply don't last as long, and the time saved in application is often lost later on with multiple makeup checks throughout the day to make sure the stuff hasn't slid off! I like to combat this by layering up with a powder blush to set. This particular colour Puerto Vallerta, looks great layered under the Sephora blush - both are orange-toned peaches with a hint of shimmer - the glow of the cream product still comes through, but layering adds a bit of longevity.

The Liquid Illuminator Peach
This liquid illuminator from Nars in the shade Orgasm is a real multipurpose product - I love to mix this in with my foundation, or apply to my face as a primer to add an all over sheen. It can then be layered over the base for spot highlighting, perfect for adding a real glow to the cheeks. As with the cream, the staying power of this one is not great, which can be aided with a dusting of powder blush to set. Definitely more on the coral-y/rose gold side of peach the colour works great layered under the Chanel Reflex, Benefit Coralista or NARS Luster.

The Golden Peach
Saving the best until last, this is my ultimate holiday glow in a pan product. NARS Luster is truly the most flattering peachy, golden shade which compliments a tan perfectly. I just can't be without this one, but would save it for the dressing table - it doesn't travel well! It's testament to how much I love this product that this is the second time I have bought it and both times it has smashed!!

I was introduced to this one at the NARS counter when I was in search of a warm blush with no pink tones in it. I would definitely  recommend trying NARS blushes out before buying. This one doesn't look like much in the compact, and you can only really appreciate the multi-dimensional shimmers and depths to these blushes when seeing them on the skin. I reckon this could be used as a great bronzer substitute for the fairest of fair skins, and a beautiful golden highlighter for deeper skin tones. An all round-winner, if only it wasn't so easily smashed!

I am constantly on the hunt for that perfect peachy glow and am currently eyeing up the Hourglass blushes! Look out for some more beauty and lifestyle posts coming up soon on the blog...
